A Disneyland Tribute To Firefighters
Tribute
18" X 24"
This print was produced by Disney as a tribute to all firefighters for their heroic efforts during the 1993 firestorms. Disney called the Anaheim Fire Department requesting a firefighter to commission a sketch. The firefighters name is Dave Baker, a rookie at the time, went to the Disney Studio and this print was produced in two weeks.
The three characteristics that make his print unique that had never been done before by Disney.
  • Mickey is shaking hands with a person. Two other prints were done with Mickey touching another person, but not shaking hands.
  • Mickey is looking up, he never is looking up in a print. He is either looking down or looking eye-level.
  • Mickey is always standing above everyone else or on a pedestal.
I have been receiving about two inquires a week for more information about the Disneyland Tribute. I hope this helps those asking.

There were two different versions of the "Tribute" produced. A lithograph and a poster. Both the poster and the lithograph are the exact same size. The difference being the paper and ink used. The posted is a thin hard paper and the lithograph is a softer, thicker paper. The original image is 13 3/8" x 19". With the borders the total size is 18" x 24". I have seen several reproductions lately so be careful. The original litho and poster both have the following text centered at the bottom.
